This policy explains what information FindBizy ("we", "us") collects when you use findbizy.com, how we use it and what choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored only in encrypted form) when you register as a customer or business owner.
- Business listings: the business name, address, phone, WhatsApp, email, website, photos, services, products, offers and opening hours that owners submit. This information is shown publicly, except that contact details are visible only to logged-in users.
- Reviews, inquiries and messages: what you write when you review a business, send an inquiry or use the contact form, along with the name and contact details you provide.
- Saved items: businesses you add to your favourites.
- Location: your approximate or precise location only if you press "Use My Location" and allow it in your browser. We use it to show nearby businesses and do not store it against your account.
- Activity counts: we count views of a listing and taps on actions such as call, WhatsApp and directions, so owners can see how their listing performs. These counts are shown to owners in aggregate.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and basic security logs.
How we use it
- To run the site, show listings and let you contact businesses.
- To create and secure your account, and to send sign-in, password-reset and service emails.
- To pass your inquiry to the business you contacted.
- To prevent spam, fraud and misuse, and to enforce our terms.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
Who can see your information
Your reviews appear publicly with your name. When you send an inquiry, the business owner receives your name, message and the contact details you entered. We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site (for example hosting and email delivery), and when the law requires it.
Third-party services
The site loads fonts, icons, maps and some images from third parties such as Google Fonts, map providers and Unsplash. These services may receive your IP address when your browser loads their content. Links to other websites, including business websites, are governed by their own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal details. We may keep limited records where needed for legal, security or accounting reasons.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your details from your account. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing findbizy@gmail.com. We respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
FindBizy is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
